EthnoMed Contributors

Many people have contributed to the work of EthnoMed. In addition to the current development team at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, WA we want to acknowledge the following people for their contributions:

Elinor A. Graham, MD and Tao Kwan-Gett, MD, who were part of the initial development team and have written extensively for EthnoMed. They both continue to be supportive in the development of EthnoMed.

Martha Means, UW Librarian, helped develop the concept of EthnoMed and provided much of the initial technical support.

Community Profiles have been written by Atalegen Molakign (Ethiopian), Linda Wetzel, RN (Cambodian), Hoai Do and Kathy Lin (Chinese), Andrea Smith (Mexican), Susan Omura, MD (Oromo), Toby Lewis, MD (Somali), Hadish Zhalay (Tigrean) and Pamela LaBorde, MD (Vietnamese).

Lenna Liu, MD contributed to the patient education information on asthma.

The Community House Calls program has provided leadership through the initial support of Mamae Teklemariam, and currently supported by Martine Pierre-Louis and Bria Chakofsky-Lewy, and the CHC Cross Cultural Mediators (past and present): Tsehay Demowez, Meti Duressa, Jeniffer Huong, Khadija Hussein, Kim Lundgreen, Yodit Mengist, Ali Mohamed, and Rozy Ramirez.

Much needed technical support came from the IAIMS program (no longer in existence) with help from Steve Rausch and Sandra Daluson.

Work on the legal issues of immigration has been the result of a relationship between EthnoMed and the Northwest Justice Project, particularly Gillian Dutton and Clay Wilson.
